PADI Scuba Review Course

Not dived in a while? No Problem! Update your dive knowledge and skills and ensure you get the most out of your next dive with the PADI Scuba Review

PADI Scuba Review

(Classroom and Pool: 2-3 hrs)
Work through the Scuba Tune-Up booklet with your instructor or divemaster, refreshing your diving knowledge and encouraging you to think about the scuba safety procedures and information you learnt during your initial training. Your guide will then go through a step by step reminder and demonstration of equipment set-up, dissembly and care, and review the pre-dive safety (buddy) check with you. Move to the pool to practice and complete the full 20 underwater basic skills taught during entry-level diver training.

Scuba Refresher

(Boat)
During the boat journey to the dive sites your guide will go over a brief quiz with you refreshing your diving knowledge and encouraging you to think about the scuba safety procedures and information you learnt during your initial training. Your guide will then go through a step by step reminder and demonstration of equipment set-up, dissembly and care, and review the pre-dive safety (buddy) check with you. At the start of your first dive you will descend to a shallow patch of sand where you’ll practice and review the core, fundamental scuba skills such as regulator recovery and clearing, mask clearing, alternate air source use and buoyancy practice.

How often do courses run?

Courses start every day, at around 09.00. You can book now, or come in to see see us while you’re on holiday in Ko Lanta. We offer free transfers to and from your resort in Ko Lanta for any of our dive courses or daily dive trips.

How long does each dive last?

It depends how long it takes you to breathe one tank of Air. Each 12L tanks is filled to 200 BAR. An average male can expect around 40 mins on their first dive and 45-50 mins on the second dive. An average female can expect her air to last a little longer. Your air tends to last longer the more relaxed you are and the less you exert yourself underwater.

Review your confined water skills and equipment set-up. A positive response to a question does not necessarily disqualify you from diving but indicates a pre-existing condition that may affect your safety while diving.
